Did you know that 38% of the US water wast is from irrigation systems? The average American wast up to 25,000 gallons of water a year on their irrigation system. We pride ourselves on using smart irrigation to conserve water and save you money.
Our goal as a company is to educate our customers to understand how to properly water their landscape to ensure quality growth and conserve water to have a lasting impact on our local water supply.
Having Green South Irrigation properly inspect and adjust your irrigation system will have a lasting impact on our water supply and your budget.
We can perform a detailed water audit to better understand how much water is being used and create an irrigation budget to help you make more educated adjustments when needed.
Monthly Maintenance
With a frequently changing climate, adjusting your irrigation system as needed can make the difference of a green, healthy lawn or a brown, dead lawn. When water is conserved during months of rain, your system will be ready to support your lawn through dry months. However, if the system is kept on the same setting year round, it will not be as effective and will cost you more money over time. No one wants this!
Beyond the weather, accidents can happen often and can greatly affect your system. Something as simple as running over a sprinkler head with the lawn mower, or hitting it with the weed eater can wreak havoc quickly. Even the direction of the head being changed over time can cause irregularities in the water pattern and coverage, or cause run offs into the street. If your water is hitting one area of the lawn and not the other, or just running into the street- you are loosing water and money.
On average, up to 50% of your household water consumption comes from your irrigation system. A poorly maintained system will waste water in runoff and evaporation. Maintaining and having regular adjustments to your irrigation system conserves water and reduces costly water bills.
Our Monthly Maintenance Program includes six visits, spread out over the summer months. Each visit, one of our well trained technicians will go through your irrigation system zone by zone, making sure your lawn is getting even and adequate water coverage. This is also a good time for our crew to repair any damage done to the system.
